RECIPE: Tasty Beef & Rice (Upgraded Paleo)

All ingredients & spices should be natural, full-leaf spices.  Organic vegetables are also ideal.  Avoid using spices that have been sitting around for too long, as they may carry what is called Mycotoxins (or mold) which you may not see or smell.  Freshness of ingredients is paramount to staying Bulletproof.

Ingredients:

1    Tsp Fennel
1    Tsp Ginger
1.5 Tsp Sea Salt (Pink Himalayan Sea Salt is best)
1.5 Tsp Garlic Powder
1.5 Tsp Tumeric
2    Tsp Onion Powder
1    Tbsp Coconut Oil
1    Tbsp Grass-Fed Butter (you can find Kerrigold brand at most Grocers)
1.5  Lbs. Grass-Fed Ground Beef
1 Tomato (diced)
1 Carrot (sliced)
1 Red Onion (diced)
1 Cup Brown Rice

1. Begin Cooking by gathering ingredients and place a Pot of water (2.5 cups) on the stove to start boiling process.

2. Once water begins to boil, add rice to water, cover and lower heat to allow rice to cook & simmer. (45-50 minutes) Set kitchen timer for 30 minutes to begin cooking Ground Beef.

3.  Once 30 minutes have passed, heat a medium sized pan over mid heat. Mix together all spices in a seperate bowl & add Butter, Coconut Oil, Red Onions, Tomatoes, Carrot and a pinch of Spice mixture to pan.

4.  While vegetables cook down, break Ground beef into smaller pieces and get ready for pan.  Once Onions begin looking translucent, add Ground beef to the pan along with remaining spice mixture.

5. Allow Beef to cook 6-8 minutes, (stirring frequently) or until meat starts to brown throughout.  Once the beef is mostly browned, & rice is cooked & fluffy, add desired amount of Brown Rice to the pan.

6. Cook entire mixture an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

7. Allow pan to sit 5 minutes sans heat, and Serve.
